Introduction
GISData.Virginia.gov contains information (metadata) about spatial (GIS) data in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Available to citizens, private industry and government employess, using the portal to find Virginia spatial data can save many hours of searching for the mapping data you need. The portal contains information about spatial data maintained by various state agencies, local governments and Virginia universities. Only these entities can publish data on GISData.Virginia.gov. This channel contains information that helps metadata publishers with the metadata creation, publishing and maintenance process.
